Evaluation

I know i have gained a greater understanding  of the message in a wide variety of images  and how to analyse them on their intended and  perceived message. I understand that it is Hard to generalise my evaluation when the messages Communicated in my research and Experiments are so different. I think this show how Individual each case is as it depends on what type and form of message wants to be put across.For example the difference in the Outcomes  that are for a political or propaganda purpose have  different meanings to using photographs that the Photo montage work with one Being for an Informative process and the other being for intrigue and representationalism.

I  believe that the positive imagery has been the most obvious and effective ways to what it is communicating due to the direct and obvious use of text , However the Propaganda posters are also very strong and are overt in what they are trying to say with exaggerative comic styles that help to show and communicate power and Authority,
 I have also looked at two other types of art work which can be harder to analyse for example the Surrealist movement where the art work needs to be put in to more context and information like knowing a description or title of the piece . The Surrealist work Isn't very good at communicating a clear message because It wasn't intended to be clear. The Artist would use symbolism and personal metaphors with in there work which can due to there dream like Quality be left to the interpretation of the reader.
The other form of communication i have looked at is Photo montage and using scale of photographs alongside drawings these are clever however there further meaning that can be desifered is not very obvious and takes a while to understand or unpack  looking past the surface decor of the image and looking deeper in to the meaning. I feel that my experiments for this type of communisation where not very strong due to the outcomes trying to be too obvious and not just clever to look at in relation to the use of scale use with in the images which is a major part of javiers work.


I think that I have been Most successful in personally communicating and understanding how a message is best portrayed through the work on positive imagery and typography together. I am really happy with the out comes of these and feel they stand out as individual images strongley and i have been able to identify a Clear Communication device in the Use of type Colour Shape and composition. I believe I enjoyed this Form of communication most because it is obvious to its reader and the work complements what is trying to be communicated.


With regards to the work that i have produced for my Campaign through research in the
I have understood that Gesture and character go hand in hand  at communicating in particular and emotion.
